Christiane Goodfellow

Prof. Dr. Christiane Goodfellow, Professor of Banking and Finance

Christiane Goodfellow, neé Schoene, studied economics at Goettingen University, Germany and, with a DAAD scholarship, at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She then worked in central banking, two years at the Deutsche Bundesbank in Frankfurt and another two years at the Bank of England in London. Christiane Goodfellow returned to academia in Germany with another scholarship to do a PhD in Finance, first at Ulm University, then at Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and was awarded the PhD in Muenster. Christiane Goodfellow was appointed as a full Professor of Banking and Finance at Jade Hochschule, Wilhelmshaven. She teaches statistics, finance, and banking and conducts research in empirical and behavioural finance as well as banking regulation (Basel III).
